Thank you Barbara and Mike - Yes it is a beautiful place with such wonderful energy. But what has made this retreat so special is all the little things that you have done - fresh flowers, plenty of teas and help yourself fruit and cookies (what indulgence), the wood for the fires. Your generosity and loving kindness have helped to make this retreat a truly nourishing time for all.

It is very apparent that the location and accommodation is stunning and heading into it is like a slice of heaven, immediately relaxing and connecting. What is not so obvious is the amount of behind the scenes work and experience there is. What really makes a difference to facilitating a course there is that Barbara and Mike know just what is needed to make sure everything runs easily and effortlessly.

I wondered why I had been so relaxed during the course and realised that normally I'm running about, chasing things up or thinking of things we need at the last minute.

Duncton Mill lends itself to simplicity and Barbara and Mike add to it due to the depth of their experience and calming natures.

Such a beautiful space full of wonderful energy
- a real joy

A wonderfully peaceful place - somehow it allowed me to drop into somewhere deeper inside - I hope it does for you. Where ever you go, there you are. Joyful. Thank you.

Beautiful Yoga room - love the coordinated gear. Wonderful setting, great relaxed atmosphere. Everything is tastefully and thoughtfully done. Food very imaginative, delicious and non wheat alternative very well done too.

Gorgeous food, great facilities - everything I needed in the house and in the Yoga room. Beautiful room and garden.

Amazing venue - loved everything about the setting, the facility, the catering, the rooms, even the wildlife (especially the wildlife) Thanks for your hospitality.

I felt miserable on the journey down to Duncton Mill at the thought vegetarian food and having to share a room but I needn't have worried, I loved everything about Duncton Mill, it was just great."

Such a spiritual place. I hope it may touch others hearts in the same way it has touched mine.

Dear All,

I want to let you know that Duncton Mill is not able to be conveyed by words or photos. It is so beautiful at every turn, angle and view.

A swan greets visitors as you first arrive. He or she is swimming in a lake full of huge trout. The rabbits are tame, pheasants are coming out of the trees, big fat country pigeons are flying about and the doves are cooing. In the background are chickens, roosters and ponies.

On a walk you may see a fox, organic dairy cows and sheep. There are trails everywhere and the property is situated right next to the South Downs, they are small mountains - go figure, the Downs are up !!

We stayed in a 1769 farmhouse, ate all of our meals together and had a glass of wine in the evenings. The chef is vegetarian/gourmet and has a Ph.D. in Latin American Studies. Can't wait for January, our next meeting.

Thank you so much for an inspiring, 'energising' weekend, a home-from-home atmosphere and gorgeous, imaginative food. It's left more than one of us feeling we went to a different planet for the weekend! Certainly I didn't want to leave and am sure I'll be back one day.

Feedback for the retreat has been very positve - and I think everyone was extremely happy with the centre accommodation and the food.  The group loved Anita (the chef) and described her as 'one of us'.  We all appreciated the lovely flowers, the log fires and the relaxed homely atmosphere.  I asked people if the place was as good as they had imagined from the photographs on the web/my flier and they thought it was even better.  So reallly a big hit.  Thank you for all the effort and care you put in.

Dear Barbara – my niece and I really enjoyed Catherine’s Yoga retreat at your beautiful house, setting and facilities all delightful and I just wanted to add a special mention from both of us for Julie’s absolutely sublime cooking. I would add that everyone thought it was top notch. Frankly it was all I could do not to dive into her saucepan of onion soup !

Kind regards to you and your husband Mike from Sylvia Paskin
